IxUnload helps Oracle database administrators archive data or perform database re-orgs by unloading data from an Oracle database. Without an unload utility, it is difficult or even impossible to do database re-org's if an application requires high availability. IxUnload will create a data file that can be easily reloaded into the database using Oracle's own SQL-Loader utility. IxUnload also generates the required control file as well as optional "DDL" file to rebuild the object.

IxUnload has enough flexibility built into it that you can choose between unloading an entire table, a subset of tables, a partition, or a group of tables. The data files created from IxUnload can span multiple file systems. This can be set and defined based upon a threshold in megabytes or as a percentage of the file systems' capacity.
