Try before you Buy

Many DBA's are dissatisfied with the performance of their existing High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions for a range of reasons: slow speed, data loss, burdensome management demands, poor hardware utilization or difficulty in recovery scenarios. Yet the complexity of many HA/DR programs becomes a barrier to exploring better options - because their existing HA/DR solutions were so difficult to install and configure, DBA's assume that other solutions will be just as complex and time consuming, possibly requiring weeks of time and significant commitment of programmer resources to set up and tweak.
